Abraham Booth (1815-1902) left England and settled in Victoria in Dec. 1840. He was a pioneer pastoralist whose Melbourne residence was 'Oakover', in Coburg. He had twelve children, including six daughters: Anne, Lucy, Alice Martha, Hannah Ellen, Florence Mary, and Emma Seward. It is not clear which daughter wrote the journals.
