Abner Brush was born in Jeffersonville (Cambridge), VT, and died in Antiago, WI. He entered Norwich University from Monkton in 1844 and remained nearly three years. Brush studied law and practiced his profession in Wisconsin. He served as drafting officer at Omro, WI, during the Civil War. He married first in 1851 Caroline Eno (d. 1853) of New Haven, VT, and the couple had one son who died in infancy. He next married Mary Morse (d. 1898) and the couple had one daughter, Caroline Eno Brush Campbell (1863-1909).
