Kuss, Peter Nicholas.
Peter Nicholas Kuss (1849-after 1900), was a founding member of the Kaweah Co-operative Colony and of the Esperanza Land and Improvement Company, and owner of a painting and decorating business in San Francisco.
Kaweah Co-operative Colony, founded in 1885, was a utopian socialist community in Tulare County, California. The community dissolved in 1891 due to disputed land claims and the establishment of Sequoia National Park in an area that subsumed its location.
