Dr. Norman Anderson is a Professor Emeritus of Science Education. He received his B.A. in General Science from the University of Iowa in 1951, his M.A. in General Administration from the University of Iowa in 1956, and his Ph.D. in Science Education from Ohio State University in 1965. In 1994 he retired after 31 years of teaching at North Carolina State University. He is the author of a series of science textbooks for junior high school students. In 1992 he received the NCSU Libraries Faculty Award.
Dr. Anderson is a collector of materials on Ferris wheels. In 1992 Bowling Green State University Popular Press published his 407-page book Ferris Wheels: An Illustrated History, and he is co-author of the 1983 children's book Ferris Wheels . He has also edited Ferris Wheel News .
