Sulphur (Ship)
Ship which accompanied the "Parmelia" conveying Captain Stirling to the Swan River in 1829. Preston was granted 2260 acres of land in the new colony. He explored Geographe Bay in 1829 with Dr. Collie. Preston River was named in his honour. In 1831, he lead an overland exploration from Augusta and was appointed master of colonial schooner Ellen.
