Teacher of English at Tufts and American universities and summer resident of Falmouth, Mass.; active in sailing in Woods Hole, Mass., becoming a legendary racer and national champion in the Knockabout class, pursuing an avid interest in the history and technology of this class; steward of Woods Hole Yacht Club and on board of Woods Hole Historical Museum.
