Barnes, Lucien, 1840-1909.
Lucien Barnes was born in 1840 in Martinsbrug, N.Y. and later lived in Delevan, Wisconsin. He and his wife Mary (Means) settled in Barnes Township, Cass County, N.D. Their son Alanson Herbert was born in 1872 and farmed in Barnes Township. Lucien's father Judge Alanson Herbert (A.H.) Barnes was born in 1818 and was an early judge in Dakota Territory before retiring to his home at Delevan, Wisconsin where he died in 1890.
