Hutler, Albert A.

Albert A. Hutler was a lieutenant in the 7th US Army during World War II. He was involved with the movement of various groups of displaced persons during and after the war. He also directed the displaced persons office in Mannheim, Germany. Hutler presently resides in San Diego, California.

In 1945, Albert A. Hutler served as chief of the Displaced Persons Office of Detachment F1E2, 2nd ECA Regiment, 7th U.S. Army Military Government, in Mannheim, Germany. Albert Hutler wrote about his experiences with displaced persons in his memoir, Agony of Survival, published in 1989. Hutler was born in 1909 in New York and died in 1998 in San Diego.
