Lieutenant Colonel David Urquhart from Louisiana was the chief aide-de-campe of Gen. Braxton Bragg in the Civil War. Urquhart was with General Thomas Jordan, General G. T. Beauregard's chief of staff, during the Battle of Shiloh, 6-7 April 1862, in southwestern Tennessee.
