International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union. Training Institute.
Established in 1950 under the direction of Arthur A. Elder, the ILGWU Training Institute offered participants one year of intensive training in labor education and leadership. Graduates of the institute were then placed in staff positions with the union, such as organizer or business agent.
