Lane, Russell Adrian.

Born in Baltimore, Md., Lane graduated from Brown University in 1921. He studied law at Howard University and education in Germany before moving to Indianapolis in 1927, where he taught at the newly opened Crispus Attucks High School. He served as principal of Attucks from 1930-1957, then was assistant to the superintendent of Indianapolis Public Schools. Lane's tenure at Attucks was marked by a committment to excellence in education.
