Dr. George William Chilcoat earned three academic degrees from Arizona State University and has taught at the University of Texas at Arlington and Brigham Young University. He has published extensively on subjects in social studies, secondary education, curriculum and instruction, and teaching methodology. Among his writings are a number of articles regarding the Freedom Schools established during Mississippi Freedom Summer in 1964.
