Samuel Liebermensch was born in Tichau. He entered the Jewish seminary in Berlin at 15. In 1918, he married Giesela Schiff. Samuel Liebermensch played the violin, and his wife took advanced singing lessons.
Their children Hanna and Ruth emigrated from Germany as part of the Kindertransport via England to the United States in 1939. They were reunited with their mother in 1940. Samuel Liebermensch was interned in the camps of Gurs and Les Milles and did not survive.
Gisela Liebermensch died in in New York in 1988.
