Sharon Harrison, a professor in art history at Eastern Michigan University, received her MFA from Cranbrook and her Ph. D. from the University of Michigan. Her doctoral thesis, completed in 1975, was a catalogue of etchings by Odilon Redon. In 1986 Professor Harrison published the first volume of what was intended to be a three volume catalogue raisonné of Redon's etchings. Professor Harrison died in August of 1988.
From 1969 until her death, Professor Harrison corresponded regularly with fellow author and art historian, Peter Morse. Mr. Morse wrote the introduction to Professor Harrison's 1986 Redon catalogue. Prior to her death, Professor Harrison transferred her materials to Mr. Morse with the intention of having him continue her research. Mr. Morse died shortly after Professor Harrison.
