Boyle, Andrew J. (Andrew Jackson), 1911-2001
Variant namesAndrew Jackson Boyle (b. Dec. 11, 1911, Braddock, Pa.-d. Mar. 15, 2001), Lieutenant General in the U.S. Army, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1935 and became a highly-decorated officer serving in Laos, the Pacific, Korea, and Germany. He was chief of Military Assistance Group in Laos in 1961 and 1962; chief operations officer, U.S. Army, Pacific in 1962 and 1963); and commanding general of the 25th Infantry Division in1963 and 1964; I Corps, Korea from 1965 to 1967, and V Corps in Germany from 1967 to 1969. He retired from Army service in 1970.
