The Commonwealth Club of Cincinnati was formed in 1917 as an organization for younger businessmen. Its purpose was to educate its members on commercial and civic matters. The Club invited prominent speakers to its formal dinners and took annual "outings" to resort areas. The Club held some joint meetings with the Commercial Club of Cincinnati, another businessmen's club.
