Grimes, Jackson Kirk, 1950-
Jackson Kirk Grimes was born in Tampa, Florida on September 9, 1950. He is the son of Joshua and Mabel Grimes. He left high school before he graduated and enlisted in the United States Army, where he served from 1968 to 1972. Grimes worked at various jobs after leaving the Army, among them acting in off-Broadway plays and working as a sous chef in Chicago. He completed his General Equivalence Diploma (GED) in 1991. Grimes was at one time a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Eagles of Lakawana County, Pennsylvania. It is not known if he is currently a member of these organizations. Grimes founded the United Fascist Union (U.F.U.) in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1996. Grimes is the Director of the U.F.U. and his partner Joanne Parker is the Deputy Director. As of 2008 the organization's address was in Elkton, Maryland. The U.F.U.'s website describes it as a non-profit club whose purpose is to promote the economic theories and political ideologies of Benito Mussolini and Saddam Hussein. The U.F.U. would like to establish a New World Order based on the government of Imperial Rome; abolish democracy, capitalism and Christianity; and establish a worldwide military dictatorship with Grimes as the dictator. According to the U.F.U. website, Grimes ran for President of the United States in 2000 and 2004. His priorities were to abolish paper money, establish a universal price index to reduce the cost of the necessities of life such as food and rent, and establish a confederacy of nine or ten nations which would run a global government based on the concept of "corporate statism". However, according to the summary of the popular vote published in Federal Elections, his name did not appear on the ballot in any state from 1996 through 2008.
