Internationale Gustav Mahler Gesellschaft
Variant namesThe International Gustav Mahler Society (Internationale Gustav Mahler Gesellschaft) was founded in Vienna in 1955 with Bruno Walter as its first honorary president; Alma Mahler was ultimately designated an honorary member. Erwin Ratz served as the first president of the society from 1955 until his death in 1973. Herman Nieman was secretary of the Dutch section of the society.
