Derek Hylton Maling
Variant namesDerek Hylton Maling was born in Northumberland in May 1923. He joined the RAF and saw service during the Second World War including escaping to Italy after being shot down. In 1950 he sailed to Signy Island with the Falkland Island Dependencies Survey (FIS). He died in September 1998
