Lawrence Reznik was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 1, 1911 and died in 2003. He studied at Carnegie Technical Institute and worked as a sign painter before joining the family business in the 1940s. He maintained a home studio where he created signs and artwork for the B'nai Israel Congregation and local Jewish organizations.His daughter, Rochelle, was born in 1936. She attgended Carnegie Technical Institute in 1954 and was married the following year. She attended a painting workshop at the Young Men and Women's Hebrew Association taught by Samuel Rosenberg and studied with him for eight years. She held her first exhibit in 1957 and her work is found in many private and public collections.
