Everett Edward Neukom was born in 1894 in Philadelphia, the son of Nellie and Edward Neukom. Neukom graduated from Steele high School in Dayton in 1912 to embark on a career in photography. In November of 1912 Neukom was hired by the Dayton Engineering Laboratories Company (DELCO) as head of the Photographic Department. Later he became involved in the Miami Conservancy District and the Tennessee Valley Authority. He also was associated with Arthur Morgan, one of the founders of Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Neukom died in 1979 while residing in Knoxville, Tennessee.
