Ernest Moore (b. Dec. 23, 1907, Vienna, Ill.-d. April 7, 1981), U.S. Air Force officer, graduated from West Point in 1931. During World War II, he served as deputy chief of staff, Hawaii Army Air Forces, and chief of staff, then commanding general, 7th Fighter Command. Following the War, he was vice commander, Military Air Transport Service, and commanding general, 3rd Air Force. He retired in 1961.
