Bunnell, Rufus, 1777-1826.
Businessman and native of Bridgeport, Connecticut; died, 1826, in New York City; son of Israel Bunnell and Jerusha Dowd Bunnell; husband of Diantha Fitch Bunnell, a union that produced at least 4 children. A grandson, Rufus Bunnell (b.1835), was a draftsman who assisted architect James F. Post in the construction of the Bellamy Mansion (Wilmington, N.C.)
