Caroline Church of Brookhaven (Setauket, N.Y.)
The Caroline Church of Brookhaven (Episcopal) was founded in the 1720s; the church building, still in use, was built about 1729. Originally known as Christ Church, the name was changed to honor the queen consort of King George II, Caroline of Anspach, who donated communion vessels and other items to the church.
