Schadow, Johann Gottfried, 1764-1850
Variant namesPrimarily known as a sculptor, active at the court of three successive Prussian kings and head of sculptural works for Frederick William II in 1788. Active as a writer and teacher at the Berlin Academy where he served as director for 35 years from 1815 to 1850.
