Denny Brann was a registered pharmacist and owner of a retail drug store in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a member of the National Association of Retail Druggists (president, 1928-); the Iowa State Pharmacists Association (president, 1925-1926); the Retail Merchants Association (president, 1925-1926); and the American Pharmaceutical Association. He was one of the co-founders of the American College of Apothecaries, established in 1940. He also served as the director of a pharmaceutical cooperative created by E.R. Squibb & Sons called the Squibb Plan, Inc. This cooperative provided member druggists and product distributors with dividends and other sales incentives.
