Leroy Moncure Nutt (1828-1882) of Culpeper County, Va. was a lawyer and captain of scouts in the Confederate Army of Tennessee. In 1863, he was briefly was imprisoned in Ohio after being captured in battle of Arkansas Pest, Ark.
