Virginia Co-operative Society (Virginia, Minn.)
The Virginia Co-operative Society (Virginia, Minn.) was established in 1909 as the Virginia Work People's Trading Company. By 1931, the cooperative had about 1,000 members, mostly Finnish. It consisted of two stores and a service station. In 1936, the name was changed to the Virginia Co-operative Society; it continued to exist until the early 1970's.
