Lambert family.
George Washington Thomas Lambert, artist and sculptor, was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1873. He was educated in England and later in Australia where he won the first Travelling Scholarship awarded by the Society of Artists in 1899. Lambert was Australia's Official War Artist in World War One.
