Alps Lodge (Boulder Canyon, Colo.)
The 1911 Boulder City Directory (p. 22, 134), lists The Alps, John W. Ripley (wife Mary), proprietor, Madie E. and Martha C. Ripley, residents, 4 miles (p. 22 says 3 miles) up Boulder Canyon. The Alps Lodge, Box 187, Magnolia Star rural route, is listed in the 1923 (p. 244) and 1926 (p. 244) Boulder County directories. It was later a meeting place for the Elks, and subsequently the Moose, clubs.
