The North Carolina State University United Fund Committee was established at North Carolina State College (later, University) in 1950. The work of the United Fund Committee was taken over by the State Employees Combined Campaign, which was established in 1984 by Governor James B. Hunt. The principal aim of the committee was to strengthen and sustain North Carolina and its Citizens. The campaign assures employees and retirees continuous opportunity to support charitable organizations that are accountable, fiscally sound, and committed to improving the quality of life in our state, nation and world.
