Bradbury, Dorothy Edith
Variant namesDorothy Bradbury became Director of the Division of Reports of the Children's Bureau in the 1940's under its second chief, Grace Abbott. Prior to that she had worked for the Iowa Child Welfare Research Station and the Extended School Services Division of the U.S. Department of Education. Bradbury published several books and articles in the field of child welfare, the best-known being Learning to Care for Children (1943, 1946), which was co-authored by Edna P. Amidon.
