Stirlen, Edythe, 1895-1987.
Affectionately known as the "Little minister," Edythe Stirlen was a radio minister from 1925 to the early 1980s on KFNF and KMA radio stations in Shenandoah, Iowa. One of the first ordained women ministers in the Midwest, Stirlen had a loyal following nationwide. For the most part, her listeners were "shut-ins" and the elderly whom Stirlen tried to help with her upbeat message and cheerful programs.
