Rushmore, Arthur W., 1883-1955
Variant namesRushmore held a variety of positions throughout his life, all having to do with the printing industry. He is best known as a book designer. Rushmore served as head of production at Harper and Brothers for more than 30 years. Along with his wife, he founded the Golden Hind Press in 1927, where they published a limited edition of the poems of Edna St. Vincent Millay.
