William Bligh (1754-1817) was in command of the H.M.S. Bounty when the mutiny of 1789 took place. Francis Godolphin Bond (1765-1839) was a cousin to Bligh and First Lieutenant on the Providence. Edward Riou was Captain of H.M.S. Guardian, destined for Australia in 1789, and Peter Heywood (1773-1831) was a member of the Bounty crew.
