Nichols, Irby Coghill.

Irby Coghill Nichols (1882-1952), born in Eudora, Mississippi, served on the LSU faculty from 1917 to 1948 as a Professor of Math. He married Pauline Wright of Oxford, Mississippi in 1918. Pauline Wright Nichols studied art and design at Newcomb School of Art and the Chicago Art Institute. The Art Association of New Orleans exhibited her art work in 1913, 1915 and 1916. After her marriage to Irby Nichols, she continued her design work, creating bookplates and designing stage sets.
