Fissinger, Edwin, 1920-1990
Variant namesEdwin Fissinger was born at Rockford, Illinois. After serving in World War II, he earned his Ph. D. in music from the University of Illinois. He came to North Dakota State University in 1967 where he was chairman of the music department. He retired in 1985 and continued to compose music until his death in 1990. He was nationally recognized as a composer and editor of choral music, with numerous works published.
