James A. Camak (1795-1847), educator, editor, and railroad official, resided in Athens, Georgia. Married Helen Smith Finley in 1820, their child, James Camak (1822-1893) married Mary Rebecca Wellborn (d. 1919) their children included James Wellborn and Louis Camak (b. 1873).
