Edward Bolland Osborn was born in 1867, He was an author and literary editor of the Morning Post . He travelled extensively and had visited most European countries.

James Nicol Dunn was born in Kincardineshire in 1856. Although trained in law, Dunn devoted his life to journalism and became editor for several publications including Black and White, Morning Post, Manchester Courier, among others. He died in 1919.
