Arlington M. Fink received his B.A. (1956) in Mathematics from Wartburg College, and his M.A. (1958) and Ph. D (1960) in Mathematics from Iowa State University. His professional career prior to returning to Iowa State, included positions at Princeton University, the University of Virginia, and the University of Nebraska. While at ISU, Dr. Fink was named Associate Professor (1967-1971), Professor (1971-2003) and Professor Emeritus (2003) in Mathematics. Dr. Fink's research interests include analysis, differential equations, inequalities and almost periodic functions. He belongs to the American Mathematical Society, the Mathematical Association of America, and Women in Mathematics. Among his honors is the Citation for Distinguished Service to ISU from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (1993).
