Cecil, Sadie Octa, 1888-1982

Sadie Octa Cecil (1888-1982) visited the Seattle World's Fair while traveling on a Canadian Rockies and Pacific Northwest bus tour organized by Moore Tours, Inc. She was seventy-four and a resident of Lexington, N.C., at the time. The tour originated in Charlotte, N.C., and ran from 30 June 30 to 29 July 1962, with luxury overnight hotel accommodations across the U.S. and Canada. Along with a visit to the Seattle World's Fair on June 17-19, tour highlights included Yellowstone National Park, Alberta, and British Columbia.
