Faculty member of Bowling Green State University in the History Department from 1952 until his retirement in 1997; served as chair of the History Department, President of Faculty Senate. He also helped establish a Phi Beta Kappa Chapter on campus and served as the University Historian. He authored the updated history of the University, The Falcon Soars : Bowling Green State University : the years of growing distinction, 1963-1985. He died in 2004.
