H. Percy Hollings was a journalist who formed this collection of the works of Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936), author. He was an early member of the Kipling Society founded in 1927 - with enrolment number 18 - and in the early days of his enthusiasm visited Burwash and the storied places on Kipling's property. In 1931-33 he was living in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, in 1944-46 in Kingswood, Surrey, in 1950-54 in Ferring, Worthing, West Sussex (SxMs 39/2/21, 23-25).
