Haffner, C. C. (Charles C.), 1895-1979
Variant namesDuring World War II, Brig. Gen. Charles C. Haffner, Jr., commanded the 58th Field Artillery Brigade, made up of the 122nd, 123rd and 124th Field Artillery regiments. He later became a major general and commander of the 103rd Infantry Division of the Seventh Army. After military service, he became the chairman of the R.R. Donnelly and Sons Company, printers in Chicago (where he worked before the war).
