Harry J. Leisentritt was born in N.J. on August 24, 1912 and enlisted in the Army at Newark, N.J. on April 29, 1943. At the time of enlistment he had completed four years of college and was working as an industrial engineer. Leisentritt served with both the 85th and 86th Infantry Regiments at Camp Hale, Colo.; Camp Swift, Tex. During combat operations in Italy he received two Bronze Star Medals. Leisentritt died on February 8, 1988.
