In 1883, the Northwestern District convened for the first time with members from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Dakota, Missouri, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alabama, and Texas. The Northwestern District was divided into five districts in 1890: the Wisconsin District, the Minnesota District, the Washington District, the Kansas-Nebraska District, and the Texas District. The first meetings of these districts were held in 1891. The Washington District renamed itself the Northwestern District in 1929.
