Hedden, Daniel E.

Daniel E. Hedden, a native of Farmington, Ohio, served in Company C of the 19th Ohio Infantry Regiment during the first part of the Civil War. He transferred to the 6th Ohio Cavalry Regiment before October 1862, and served as a commissary sergeant in northern Virginia until July or August 1863, when his enlistment expired. His brother Robert also served in the 19th Ohio Infantry Regiment and 6th Ohio Cavalry Regiment, and attained the rank of 1st lieutenant.
