Businessman, of Tacoma, Wash.; had an interest in prospecting for gold in Alaska and the Klondike and left Tacoma 18 Apr. 1893 on board the Al-ki, travelling to the Klondike and Yukon vacinities until 7 Sept., when he boarded the revenue cutter Bear, bound for Unalaska, from which point he sailed south, arriving at San Francisco on 1 Oct.; returned to Tacoma and engaged in a number of successful business enterprises.
