Louise Crawford was a Professor of Theory of Music and Assistant Professor of Piano at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa from 1916 to 1941. She was also a composer who spent her summers at the MacDonnell Colony in Petersborough, New Hampshire creating musical works. She received her B.A. and M.A. from Wellesley College and also studied at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
