The Arts, Education and Americans Panel (1974-1977), chaired by David Rockefeller, Jr., was the culmination of the work of the American Council for the Arts in Education (ACAE). Established in 1972 as the successor to the National Council for the Arts in Education, the ACAE was designed to promote the arts as an integral part of school curricula at all levels of education. The Panel's final report, published as "Coming to our Senses", appeared in 1977.
